Finis Smith Blankenship

  Finis Blankenship passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014. Finis was a retired plumber. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp and graduated from Sam Houston State University. Finis loved to dance; a favorite place was the Stagecoach in Fort Worth. 

  Survivors include his wife and longtime companion, Gloria Brinkley; daughter, Sondra Grimes and husband, Mike of Azle; sons, Tommy Blankenship, Billy Blankenship and wife, Becky, all of Fort Worth, and Kevin Powell of San Antonio; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and two brothers, Raymond and Jimmy Blankenship.

  Funeral: 2:00 p.m., Friday, Lighthouse Church. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Luncheon: Noon prior to the funeral at Lighthouse Church.
