Evelyn Yvonne Pidgeon

  Evelyn Yvonne Pidgeon, age 80, of Weatherford, died Friday evening, January 11, 2008, in a local nursing center. Born May 26, 1927 in Ranger, a resident of Ranger and Weatherford all her life. She was a homemaker and cosmetician for Skillern’s Drug for 14 years and retired in 1977. 

  Mrs. Pidgeon was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Albert Pidgeon. 

  She is survived by her son, Wayne Pidgeon and wife, Vickie of Granbury; grandchildren, Patrick Pidgeon, Jennifer Pidgeon, and Shane Stephenson; great grandchildren, Hayden Wayne Pidgeon, Delaney Harris, and Riley Harris; sisters, Frankie, Dorothy, and Janie; brother, Kenneth; friend, Jay Leatherwood; numerous nieces and nephews.     

  Funeral service: 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2008, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, with interment in Willow Springs Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Monday, January 14, 2008, at the funeral home.
