Eula Mae Phillips

  Eula Mae Phillips, 97, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023.

  Eula Mae Dale Ford Phillips was born in Millsap, Texas, on September 21, 1926. She graduated from Millsap High School in 1944 and married the love of her life, Cleo Phillips, in 1945. She was devoted to God, her family and friends. Eula Mae was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ, and throughout their 58 years of marriage, supported her husband’s ministry as an Elder. She was an active quilter, a member of the Quilters Guild of Parker County – as well as belonging to several quilting clubs. She was also active in Farm Bureau where she was recognized with several lifetime membership awards – including the Texas Star Achievement Award.

  Eula Mae was preceded in death by husband, Cleo Phillips; grandson, Bryant Franklin Riddle; and great grandson, William Edward Riddle, Jr. Sisters, Lucille Wetzel, Naomi Israel, and brothers, Arthur Ford, Eldon Ford, Fred Ford, and Troy Ford, also preceded her in death.

  Eula Mae is survived by five children, son, Ricky Phillips and wife, Thian of Phoenix, AZ; daughters, Janie Riddle, Teresa Gilbert and husband, Roy, of Weatherford, Debra Phillips of Amarillo, and Cherry Bond and husband, Kevin, of Grand Prairie; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 28, at Hillcrest Church of Christ, in Weatherford. Burial will follow in Hill Cemetery, Parker County. The family will receive guests from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, Weatherford. Pallbearers for the service will be grandsons, Xander Bond, James Gilbert, Wade Gilbert, Jeremy Hale, Wesley Hale, Jon Phillips, Shawn Phillips, and Bill Riddle.
