Ernestina (Zapata) Davila

Ernestina (Zapata) Davila, age 93, passed from this life on Thursday, July 27, 2023. She was born November 11, 1929, in Realitos, Texas to Paulita Gamez and Antonio Zapata. Ernestina married Hilario Davila, and together they created a lasting legacy. She spent her life raising her family of ten children and working as a nurse's aide.

Ernestina was an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to many. Known simply as "Tina", she touched the lives of everyone she knew in a uniquely special way, and she will be missed immensely by those who were blessed to have known her.

Ernestina spent her life sacrificing for and serving others. She loved music, dancing, cooking, and laughing. Most of all, she loved her family.

Although small in stature, her presence, personality, and love were enormous.

Ernestina was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Paulita Zapata, her husband, Hilario Davila, and her siblings, Debbie Hernandez, Vickie Zapata, Margie Franco, Stella Gallegos, Melinda Martinez, and Elia Gonzales.

Ernestina is survived by her children, Rosita Alvarez, Maria Anita Hernandez, Eufemia May, Corina Alvarado, Roberto Davila, and Troy Davila, Hilario Davila, Jr., Domingo Davila, Juan Davila, and Indalecio Davila; 27 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and siblings, Lupe Guajardo and Roel Zapata.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August, 4, 2023, at Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel, 4941 I-20 Frontage Rd, Willow Park, Texas 76087, with burial at East Greenwood Cemetery, in Weatherford, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel, 4941 I-20 Frontage Rd, Willow Park, Texas 76087.
