Erlinda Duran Dow, 84, of Weatherford, formerly of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010, at the local hospital. Erlinda was born December 8, 1925 in Belen, New Mexico, to Antonio C. and Adelina Baca Duran. She worked as a secretary for Sandia Base Laboratory in Albuquerque for 31 years; she was a member of North Side Baptist Church in Weatherford where she enjoyed singing with the Foundation Singers. Erlinda was also very active playing games at the nursing home in Weatherford, where she resided for the last few years.
She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine Garcia; grandson, Miguel Gutierrez and wife, Tamra; great granddaughter, Gracie Gutierrez, all of Weatherford; and sisters, Lugarda Abeyta and Carmen Chavez, of Albuquerque.
Memorials may be made to North Side Baptist Church Building Fund or the Foundation Singers, 910 North Main St., Weatherford, Texas 76086.
