  Enoch Samson Bond, age 88, passed from this life on Friday, August 21, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith and devotion. Born on July 30, 1938, in Tuscumbia, Alabama, to Charles and Susie (Johnson) Bond, Enoch grew into a man whose character reflected the values he learned early in life-hard work and steadfast love for family.

  A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Enoch served his country with honor before earning his bachelor’s degree and beginning a long career with Southwestern Bell as a communication technician. After retirement, he continued serving his community as a substitute teacher, sharing encouragement with countless students.

  Enoch met the love of his life, Helen Kirby, at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Fort Worth. Their marriage of 60 years was a testament to devotion-building countless memories together. He served as a deacon at North Fort Worth Baptist Church, where he served with a genuine heart for others.

  Family was the center of Enoch’s world. He delighted in visiting with his grandchildren, attending their games, and cheering them on with the same enthusiasm he had for his children’s activities years before. His joy was never louder than when he was surrounded by those he loved.

  Enoch was a lifelong learner with a curious mind and creative hands. He enjoyed traveling, exploring new places, and discovering new interests. Ceramics and leatherwork became two of his favorite hobbies.

  Enoch was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and three sisters.

  He is survived by his beloved wife, Helen Bond of Willow Park; his son, Bobby Thompson Jr. and wife, Diana; his daughters, Paula Brown and husband, Jody, and Amy Bain and husband, Joey; nine grandchildren; twelve great‑grandchildren; and two eagerly awaited great‑grandchildren. Each of them carries a piece of his love, his wisdom, and his steady presence.

  The visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel, 4941 I-20 Frontage Rd, Willow Park, Texas 76087.

  The funeral ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the North Fort Worth Baptist Church, 5801 I-35W, Fort Worth, Texas 76131. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m., at the Aurora Cemetery, located at 507 Cemetery Road, Aurora, Texas 76078.
