On Sunday, August 11, 2024, Elizabeth A. Woods Adair, age 73, after a short illness, fell asleep in death. Elizabeth was born on January 8, 1951, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Kenneth Woods and Madeline Collins Woods. For over 60 years of her life, she was active as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, teaching many the good news of God’s word. Elizabeth's passion for music shone brightly at an early age and she taught piano for many years. Her compassionate nature extended not only to people but also encompassed a deep affection for animals of all sorts.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Kenneth and Madeline Woods, and older brother, Larry Woods.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, James R. Adair, Sr., of Weatherford, Texas; son, James Ronald Adair, Jr. and wife, Amber; son, Stephen Kenneth Adair and grandson, Brady; and son, Thomas Jeffrey Adair, all of Fort Worth. Also, her brother, Richard Woods, and his wife, Billie of Purcell, Oklahoma; and sister-in-law, Charlotte Woods of Arlington, Texas.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Elizabeth will be held at the Weatherford Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, at 1240 E. Bankhead, on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
Her sense of humor, her spirit of kindness, and unwavering faith will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who were touched by her presence.
