Elaine Rice

  Fred “Elaine” Adams Rice, 82, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025. Born July 24, 1943, in Fort Worth, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Theslie (Woods) Adams. 

  Elaine worked as a clerk for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department until her retirement. She was a member of the Republican Women’s Club and enjoyed playing Keno with her friends. She found joy in gardening, fishing, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and Solitaire, but her greatest happiness came from time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

  She was preceded in death by her brother, Duane Adams, and her twin great-grandsons. 

  Elaine is survived by her son, Jon Rice (Crystal Kephart); daughter, Jana Robertson; grandchildren, Ayla, Cassie, Brooke (Brandon), Christopher, Chelsea, Acadia, and Rylan; and great-grandchildren, Nataleigh, Autumn, Corbyn, and Jonathan. 

  Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford. Graveside services will follow on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Holders Chapel Cemetery. 

  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
