Edward “Mr. Ed” Louis Manning, 86
Born May 5, 1929 and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 27, 2015. He lived his life in a variety of careers including a railroad lineman, a telephone cable splicer and a truck driver. His greatest passion was helping others. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his brother, Al Manning and wife, Mollie; his children, Grace (and Mike) Kirchhefer, Ed (and Mary) Manning, Fred (and Shirley) Manning, Greg Manning and Ruth Lynch; his grandchildren, Jon (and Keri) Kirchhefer, Aaron (and Heather) Kirchhefer, Wesley Osborne, Amanda (and Steve) Kurtz, Jonathan Manning, Greg Manning, Patrick Lynch and Kelly Lynch; great grandchildren, London, Brandon, Kennedy, Trinity, Emily, Connor, Brennan, Avanleigh, Tyler, Silas, Ace, Enzo and Cassius; and numerous family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Elaine Burton Manning and his brothers, Robert Manning and Richard Manning.
A memorial service is planned for September 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Gordon, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the First United Methodist Church in Gordon.
