Edward Dean Galbreath, 63, of Weatherford, died Saturday, September 16, 2006, at his residence. Born November 18, 1942, in Weatherford where he was a lifelong resident. Ed was a retired driver in the Transportation Department for Lockheed Martin and won the Texas Safety Award in 1989 for 26 years of safe driving, a member of the Baptist church and he loved to fish.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Opal Bell Roberts.
Ed is survived by his wife, Trudy Galbreath of Weatherford; daughter, Nikki Miles of Fort Worth; parents, Ed and Marcy Galbreath of Brock; step sister, Donna Lang and husband, Butch of Weatherford; step brother, Edward Doster and wife, Lottie of Brock; brother-in-law, Gary Graves and wife, Mary of Crowley; aunt and uncle, Flossie and Bill Busby of Azle; cousin, Fred Lyles of Weatherford; and numerous other relatives.
Graveside service: 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2006, in the Spring Creek Cemetery with Rev. Tom McClintock officiating. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
