Eddie Lynn Baker, age 74, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on September 15, 1950, in Weatherford, Texas, to Leon and Annie (Littlefield) Baker.
Eddie married the love of his life, Cathy Jo Richards, and together they built a beautiful life, raising their two children, Candy and Skipper.
A hardworking and dedicated man, Eddie spent 22 years with Union Pacific Railroad before continuing his service to the community at Parker County Precinct 3 for 25 years. He also proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard.
In his free time, Eddie found joy in gardening, fishing, and playing golf, but nothing meant more to him than his family. He will be remembered for his unwavering love, his devoted work ethic, and the many cherished memories he created with those he held dear.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Annie Baker, and brother, Jerry Leon Baker.
Left to carry on his legacy is his beloved wife of 52 years, Cathy Baker of Millsap, Texas; two children, Candy Nichole Baker and Skipper Lynn Baker and wife, Stacy; and three grandchildren, Gage Baker, Hunter Baker and fiancé, Ashlee Donahoo, and Hayden Baker. He is also survived by his extended family, Vicki Fowler, Sunni Fowler, and Peyton Barnes.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 13, 2025, at First Baptist Church Dennis, 7600 FM 1189 Dennis, Texas 76439, followed by burial at Soda Springs Cemetery, 3290 Soda Springs Road, Millsap, Texas, 76066.
