Ed Stone

  Ed Stone, 78, of Poolville, passed away Tuesday morning, March 15, 2011, in a Weatherford nursing facility. He was born March 5, 1933, in Agnes, Texas, to Dewitt and Lena Mae Blackmon Stone. Ed retired from Bell Helicopter, was a long time dairyman and a member of the Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending his free time hunting and fishing. 

  Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Bettie Stone; son, Gerald Stone and his sister, Ruth Conger. 

  He is survived by his three sons, Gene Stone, Kenneth Stone, both of Poolville and Charles Stone of Mineral Wells; sisters, Eileen Woods of Atoka, Oklahoma, Sandra Stakley and Shirley Watson, both of Fort Worth; brothers, Felton Stone of Poolville and Orville Stone of Bridgeport; one grandson, Gene Stone; and a great grandson, Conner Stone.
 
  Funeral service: 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2011, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert Owens officiating. Interment: Goshen Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
