Earl Clayton Johnson, Jr.

  Earl Clayton Johnson, Jr., 79, of Weatherford, died Sunday, July 9, 2006, in Weatherford. Born March 31, 1927, in Buffalo, New York, he was a resident of the Spring Creek Community for many years and of Weatherford for the last few years. Earl was Veteran of World War II having served in Italy.

  Upon his return, he graduated from Texas Tech with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Earl retired from General Dynamics in 1992 after 42 years of service and enjoyed his retirement traveling all across the United States in his 5th Wheel.  

  He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Ann R. Johnson.  

  He is survived by: sons, E. Clayton Johnson III and wife, Monique of Weatherford, Paul Johnson and wife, Mariann of Houston, and Scott G. Johnson and wife, Susan of Fort Worth; former daughter in law, Kim Johnson of Weatherford; grandchildren, E.C. “Clay” Johnson IV, Kathryn Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Brian Johnson, Karin Raschkow, Rebecca Kimmons, Hali Fewell, Larkin Fewell, and Michael Nesbitt.     

  Funeral service 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 15, 2006, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Visitation 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Interment in Spring Creek Cemetery.
