Dorthy Jean Sharp

  Dorthy Jean Sharp, of Weatherford, passed to her eternal home on September 1, 2021. Dorthy was born September 1, 1947, in Stanton, Texas, to Earl and Lora Lankford. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Dorthy loved spending time with her family, reading books, crafting, and she loved her goats. She was often referred to as a “Human Dictionary” and was full of a wealth of knowledge. Dorthy worked as a truck driver and recently worked as a manager for Walmart. 

  She is survived by her husband of almost 32 years, John Sharp; sons, Bobby Kerby, David Sharp, and John Sharp; brother, Jim Lankford; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. 

  She was preceded in death by her daughters, Laura Jackson and Lisa Norvil. 

  A visitation will be held Friday, September 10th, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford, with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 p.m.
