Dorothy Ann Newman

  Dorothy Ann Newman, 87, of Weatherford, died Monday, February 25, 2013 in a Weatherford nursing center. Mrs. Newman was born June 25, 1925 in Bisbee, Arizona. She was a homemaker, charter member of Community Baptist Church, Daughters Republic of Texas, she loved sewing, cooking, reading, music, playing the harmonica and numerous other instruments and playing the piano at Church.
 
  Survivors: daughters, Bobbie Ann Barker and husband, Thomas of Fort Worth, Rita Dawson and husband, Larry of Grandview, Donna Lindley of Weatherford, Helen Newman Fox of Weatherford, and Martha Williams and husband, James of Ennis; sisters, Violet Laux of McNeal Arizona, Mildred Hare of Alden, Iowa, and Betty Wolslagel of Bisbee, Arizona; fifteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, twelve great great grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Interment in East Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
