Doris Jean Smotherman

Doris Jean Smotherman, 87, of Weatherford, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021. She was born December 15, 1933, in Missouri to Homer and Bernice Alexander Clark. She was a teacher for Weatherford ISD for over 20 years. She was with Tyson Junior High when she retired. Doris was a member of South Main Church of Christ. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bill Smotherman, son Barry Paul Smotherman and her sister Mary Swatloski. 

Doris is survived by her sons, Michael Smotherman and Kevin Smotherman, daughters-in-laws; Brenda and Debbie Smotherman, grandchildren; Hunter Smotherman and wife Kellie, Blair Bickel and husband Ian and Josh Smotherman and wife Angie, great grandchildren; Hudson and Hallie Kate Smotherman.

There will be a private interment later in the fall in Tennessee.
