Doris Jean Bowen

  Doris Jean Bowen passed from this life on December 19th, 2018, in Weatherford Texas. She was born on April 1, 1940, in Amarillo, Texas, to Roy A. Woodard and Loretta I. Robertson. Doris lived in Fort Worth most of her life and in Weatherford for the last 22 years. 

  She was preceded in death by her devoted husband and greatest love, Dan H. Bowen; both parents; three brothers; and one sister. 

  She is survived by her closest cousin and caretaker, Charlotte Moss; aunts, Margaret Knight and Mary Lubbe; uncle, Bernie Robertson; three stepchildren and several stepgrandchildren; and numerous neices, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends, who loved her dearly. She also leaves behind her constant companion and service dog, Cozmo.

  Memorial Service will be held at Galbreaith Picard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford, Texas, on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 2:00 p.m.
