Dora “Norma” Jasinski, a strong, witty, and dependable woman who built her life around her family, passed away peacefully at home under the loving care of her daughter, Marty. She was born on January 3, 1935, to Delfino and Mariana Cruz Alejandro.
Norma is survived by her children Joe Soria (wife Cindi), David Jasinski (wife Gina), daughter-in-law Tonie Jasinski, Evon Markum (husband Don), and Marty Jasinski. She was the proud grandmother of nine, great-grandmother of fifteen, and great-great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Jasinski, and her son, Ernest Jasinski.
Norma showed her care through the meals she made, her humor, and the ways she could always be counted on. Her homemade tortillas were legendary, and her grandkids will never forget her sausage and eggs wrapped in warm tortillas - or her famous “finger steaks” reserved for the most special occasions.
She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life like visits to the casino, a meal from McDonald’s, and cheering on contestants in her favorite game shows. Her quick wit, sharp mind, and steady presence will be missed deeply by all who knew her.
Norma leaves behind a loving family who will miss her dearly. In her honor, we’ll grab some McDonald’s and watch Family Feud - just the way she’d like it.
