Donna Kay Brooks

  Donna Kay Brooks, age 93, passed peacefully from this life on Monday, August 17, 2026. Born on May 18, 1933, in Moline, Illinois, Donna was the daughter of Cliff Hayes and Margeret Martin Hayes. 

  Donna dedicated many years of her career to working as a Computer Science specialist at the Tyson campus. She was also a longtime and devoted member of North Side Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir. Her faith and her church family were an important part of her life. Donna also had a playful side and especially enjoyed spending time playing Bingo and 42 a pastime she loved. 

  Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Margeret Hayes; her beloved husband, Bobby Grant Brooks; and her sons, Richard Grant Brooks and Larry Scott Brooks. 

  Donna leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory, including her grandchildren, Eddie Brooks, James Brooks, Michelle Brooks, Erika Brooks Torrez and her husband Gilbert Torrez, and Calvin Brooks and his wife Camille Brooks; great grandchildren, David Brooks, Delitha Brooks, Donna Brooks, Daniel Brooks, Destinee Brooks, Mariah Torrez, and Mackenzie Torrez; and her great-great grandchildren, Adrian Brooks, Mace Brooks, Chase Brooks, and Elijah Torrez. 

  A time of visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, Texas. 

  A funeral ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 3, 2026, at North Side Baptist Church, in Weatherford, Texas. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery.
