Donley Everett Gandee, II

Donley Everett Gandee, II, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at age 74. He was born November 20, 1948, in Weatherford, Texas to the late Donley Gandee and Bertie (Mitchell) Gandee. Donley graduated from Peaster High School in 1967 and Weatherford College in 1969; he then attended Texas A&M University-Commerce. Donley served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, as well as a skilled carpenter who loved to travel, work on the ranch, and read voraciously.

Donley is survived by wife, Elizabeth Buch-Gandee; children, Donley Everett Gandee, III and wife, Sondra, Jesse Gandee, and, Leah Gandee Guerra and husband, Thomas; granddaughters, Chelsea, Sydney, Arwyn, and Brecklynn Gandee; brothers, Wesley Gandee and wife, Cynthia, Joe Gandee and wife, Karin, and Roger Gandee and wife, Jane; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A graveside service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Zion Hill Cemetery, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.; officiated by Brian Loveless.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Lymphoma Cancer Society.
