Donald Leon Heatley, age 60, of Breckenridge, died on Tuesday, February 5, 2008, in a Fort Worth hospital. Born December 10, 1947, in Breckenridge, a resident of Weatherford before moving to Breckenridge in 2006, he was a diesel mechanic, small engine repair technician, handyman and member of the Church of Christ. Don was well known as the maintenance technician for Caron Moore Dance Productions.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Heatley; daughter, Amy Denise Heatley; parents, Babe and Annie Sue Heatley; sister, Opie Ann Hughes; and brothers, Rayford Heatley, Lonnie Heatley, Gerald Heatley, and Terry Heatley.
Survivors: daughter, Holly Heatley of Fort Worth; son, Eli Heatley and wife, Eva of Weatherford; two granddaughters, Alli and Sophia; brother, Roger Heatley and wife, Yvonne of Breckenridge; and sister, Jerry Nan Swinson of Breckenridge.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2008, in Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment will follow in the Albany Cemetery. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 8, at the funeral home.
