Dolores Ann Morgan

  Dolores Ann Morgan, 76, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on May 13, 2025.

  Dolores was born on October 3, 1948, to Harmon and Arlene Higgins, in Fort Worth, Texas. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1966. Dolores was united in marriage to Gail Eugene Morgan on December 21, 1973.

  Dolores worked various jobs throughout the years including Secretary at First United Methodist Church in Weatherford, Texas, and St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth, Texas, where she later retired.

  Dolores loved to travel, enjoyed a good meal, and loved to shop. She also enjoyed reading, working on puzzles, crocheting, and most of all, spending time with her family.

  Dolores was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

  Her faith in Jesus Christ was important to her and held closely throughout her life.

  She was preceded in death by her father, Harmon Higgins; mother, Arlene Higgins; and brother, Steve Higgins. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Gail Morgan, of Weatherford, Texas; sons, Eric Morgan and wife, Jenny, of Canyon, Texas; and Mark Morgan and wife, Sarah, of Godley, Texas; grandchildren, Bella Barnett, Wyatt and Ember Morgan, Barrett, Remi, and Colt Morgan; sisters, Judy Turpin and husband, Larry Turpin of Arlington, Texas, and Kathy Dunaway and husband, William Dunaway of Arlington, Texas; and sister-in-law, Sherry Higgins of Arlington, Texas. She is also survived by a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

  The family of Dolores would like to extend sincere thanks to family and friends who have surrounded us with faith, love, and devotion as well as the nurses from Beyond Faith Hospice in Weatherford, Texas and niece, Kim Smith, who provided care for Dolores.

  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund.

  Visitation services will be held at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Home in Weatherford, Texas, between 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church in Weatherford, Texas, at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, May 22, 2025.
