Dirk Frederick Buchser

September 27, 1943 — September 12, 2023

Dirk Frederick Buchser passed from this life on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at age 80. Dirk was born August 27, 1943, in San Jose, California to Herman Buchser and Martha (Noll) Buchser. Martha passed away early in his life and Dirk was blessed to be raised by his loving mom, Patricia Buchser.

Dirk began farming when he was just 20 years old. He later went into business with his partner and close friend, Eddie Toggnetti; together they owned and operated B & T Farms for 36 years, until he retired in 2016.

Dirk married his beloved high school sweetheart, Nola Hutchins, in 1964; they were together until she passed away in 2020.

Dirk’s life was completely dedicated to his love for his Lord and Savior and his passion for farming and good cutting horses. He was a member of the National Cutting Horse Association, the Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association, The Farm Bureau, and The Church In Peaster. Dirk will be remembered as a man with a high moral compass, determination, and a relentless work ethic; who was honest, generous, and believed in the good of others.

Dirk was preceded in death by his wife, Nola Buchser; his parents, Herman and Patricia Buchser; and by his siblings, Robert Buchser and Linda Buchser.

Dirk is survived by his daughter, Leslie (Buchser) Mirassou of Weatherford, Texas; granddaughter, Molly Mirassou; sister, Barbara Sawyer; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 16, 2023, at The Church In Peaster, 8601 FM 920, Weatherford, Texas 76088.

A casual celebration of life will also be held in Gilroy, California, in November after harvest; contact family for details.
