He loved hunting and fishing and was very proud to have served his country during his four years in the Navy. Dickie enjoyed playing golf and spending time in the mountains. He spent many vacations in Colorado and New Mexico. He shared his love of reading with all of his kids. His quirky sense of humor stayed with him until the end.

Dickie’s knowledge of the history of Parker County was extensive and he loved sharing that knowledge with others. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 4746 in Weatherford. He was also a member of the Bass Club and he was an active supporter of the Kids Fishing Tournament for many years. Dickie worked for the City of Weatherford in the water treatment plant for approximately 10 years and then moved to the private sector water utilities until his retirement from Aqua in 2016.
