Dempsey Tagler Stice, 42, of Weatherford passed away Friday, January 14, 2011. Dempsey was born June 22, 1968 in Abilene, Tx to Orlano and Sonny Stice. Dempsey and his family moved to Weatherford as a small child and Weatherford remained his home. He graduated from Weatherford High School in 1985 and enlisted in the US Air Force where he served honorably. Dempsey returned home and his entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of Stice Electronics, a successful company who served Weatherford for many years. Dempsey’s vision and drive did not stop there, he went on to form Stice Construction whose tremendous success led to many fine buildings being constructed and that will serve as reminders of Dempsey’s vision for the community he loved.
Dempsey is preceded in death by his father Sonny Stice, step father, Pat Derden, grandparents, Elvin and Ruth Stice and O.C. Little.
A proud and ambitious man who was loved and respected by many, his talents and beautiful spirit will be sorely missed by this community.
He is survived by his wife, Shauna, two beautiful daughters, Paige and Reagan, mother, Orlano Derden Randall, Grandmother, Christine "Dino" Montell, brothers, Lee Dill and wife, Debbie and Lelan Stice and wife, Lisa, sister Monica Brown and husband Jim, numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 1pm Monday, January 17, 2011 at the Trinity Bible Church. Visitation 6-8 pm Sunday in the chapel at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Interment in Memory Gardens.
