It is with heavy hearts that we announce Deloris (Foley) Martin Peery, 83, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away peacefully May 12, 2026 in her home.
Deloris was born on December 22, 1942 in Mineral Wells, Texas, to Walter Woodrow Foley and Della Viola (Walker) Foley.
Deloris graduated high school in Mineral Wells, Texas in 1961. She married Raymond Lewis Martin October of 1961 and raised three children. Deloris also worked throughout her life as a keypunch operator with oil and gas and later had a successful real estate ad book with her first husband Raymond Martin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Raymond Lewis Martin; and her brother, Walter Dean Foley.
Deloris is survived by her husband of 18 years, Lloyd O. Peery, Jr.; her sister, Sheree Foley Gray; children, Lori Powell (Jay) of Mineral Wells, Melissa Masterson (Keith) of Mineral Wells, Cal Martin (Kathryn) of Mineral Wells, Nea Oetgen (Jesse) of Weatherford, Izzy Fowler (Aaron) of Argyle, Texas; grandchildren, Chris and Taryn Sandvig, Jay and Karley Powell, Presley Masterson, Adrian Masterson, Dillon Masterson, Rexford Martin, Gwennie Martin, Jacey Oetgen, Jenna Oetgen, Jordy Oetgen, Jacob Oetgen and Joey Fowler; great grandchildren, Case, Camdyn and Jay Robertson; sisters in law, Dusty Foley and Betty Hart; and many precious nieces and nephews.
Deloris (Nana) loved to go to any and all the grandkids’ school and sporting events, taking them to story time at the library and McDonalds.
She was an excellent seamstress, starting in high school making her own pageant and prom formal dresses. She was an avid quilter and made quilts for all of her kids, grands, and great grands.
She was loved by everyone who met her and she left this world a better place.
A time for visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, Texas.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate her life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the North Side Baptist Church, also in Weatherford, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Texans on Mission.
