Debra Dialene Freeman

November 26, 1957 — November 1, 2022

Debra Dialene Freeman, 64, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Debra was born November 26, 1957, in Norco, California to her parents, Tillman Griffin and Aubrey (Pleasant) Griffin. As a young woman, Debra expressed her joy and passion for animals as a barrel racer and equestrian. As she matured into adulthood, she was a dedicated mother first and foremost. Debra treasured her daughter, Shelby, and embraced every moment with her. She also opened her home to several different children over the years, and came to see each and every one of them as her own children and loved them as much as she did her own daughter. She was a dedicated friend, and the friendships she obtained grew to become like family to her. In the workforce, she especially enjoyed her role as an LVN. Debra had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh and feel at home. She had a big love for her nursing home and hospice patients, all of whom she cherished and touched deeply. Debra's personal hobbies included reading books and listening to music. Her favorite band, The Eagles often brought a smile to her face and a song to her lips.

Debra is survived by her daughter, Shelby Freeman of Weatherford, Texas; brother, Terry Griffin and wife, Dianna of Cove, Utah; nephew, Kevin Griffin and fiancée, Cristina Holliday of Arlington, Texas and their daughter, Morgan Perry and Morgan's children of Lewisville, Texas; nephew, Matt Griffin and his wife, Jenny and their daughter, Hailee Goldberg of Corona, California; nephew, Sean Griffin and his wife, Renna and their sons, Zachary Griffin and Fletcher Griffin of Peoria, Arizona; and numerous cousins all over the country. Debra will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Tillman and Aubrey Griffin of Weatherford; son-in-law, Jarrod Doss of Weatherford; and niece, Vicky Griffin of Lewisville.

A memorial service will be held on November 19, 2022, at the Lighthouse Country Cowboy Church in Azle, Texas at 2:00 p.m.
