David Odell Long

David Odell Long, 69, of Weatherford passed away Monday, October 2, 2017. He was born September 4, 1948 in Weatherford to Odell and Lorene Maxwell Long. He was a plumber and a former Baptist minister. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sherrill Ann Long; sisters, Patricia Rich and Elsie Newkirk; and brother, Michael Long.
Visitation is scheduled from 6-8 pm, Thursday evening at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be 2 pm, Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Curtis Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Allen Long; daughters, Brenda Reynolds, Davena Elliott and husband James; grandchildren, Brittanie Merryman, MaKinze Reynolds, and Dalton Ford; niece, Lachanda Allen; great-nieces, Christal Allen and Katelyn Allen; sisters, Christine Warner and husband Tommy, Francis Morgan; brothers, Ronnie Long, Glen Long and wife Wanda, Gerald Long; numerous nieces nephews and friends.
