David Elders

  David Elders, 67, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012, in Weatherford, Texas.

  David was born on July 6, 1944 to A.D. and Lorene Elders in Weatherford. He was a longtime resident of Weatherford and Brock. He was a farmer in Parker County.

  David was preceded in death by his parents, A.D. and Lorene Elders, and sister, Gail Shires.

  He leaves behind his daughter, Laurie Mayberry of Weatherford; son, John Elders and wife, Cindy, of Brock; mother of children, Linda Hutchinson, of Brock; grandchildren, Savannah Mayberry and Sarah Elders; sister, Fay Jean Herron and husband, Lee, of Brock; brother, Wayne Elders and wife, Vada, of Weatherford; brother-in-law, John Shires and wife, Ida, of Brock.

  Visitation will be Sunday, April 22, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

  A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 23, at First Baptist Church in Dennis with Rev. Red Waller officiating. Burial will follow in the Brock cemetery.
