David Austin Cox

David Austin Cox, 96, of Weatherford, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at a local nursing facility. He was born October 18, 1911 in Morgan Mill, Texas to John and Emma Lou Cox. At a year old, David and his family moved to Arkansas in a covered wagon and then returned two years later to Parker County. He was a farmer and retiree from American Manufacturing. David was a Baptist and he loved to dance until he reached 92 years of age. He is preceded in death by his wife Mona Mae, son W.W. Cox and a daughter, Katherine Cox. He is survived by a daughter Dorotha Haley of Weatherford, seven grandchildren, and two sisters, Ruth Grable of Ft. Worth, and Polly of Garner. Graveside service will be 2 PM Saturday October 4, 2008 at Dilbeck Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Friday October 3, 2008 at the funeral home.
