Darlene “Tinker” Ray passed from this life on Saturday, October 18, 2025, in Weatherford, Texas, at age 58. She was born on October 28, 1966, in Mineral Wells, Texas, to Lester and Pearl (Green) Blackmon.
Tinker married the love of her life, Brian Ray, on September 10, 1999. It wasn’t until after the wedding that she realized their anniversary fell the day before his birthday. It was a sweet coincidence that ensured he’d never forget either one.
A devoted homemaker, Tinker was truly the heart of her family. She cared for everyone in the home and had a special love for her animals. From dogs and chickens to cows, donkeys, and guinea pigs - if something was hurt or sick, she could nurse it back to health.
She enjoyed planting flowers, fishing alongside Brian, taking back-road drives, and finding treasures at yard sales. Known as a social butterfly, Tinker loved people and shared her bright spirit wherever she went.
Rooted in her Baptist faith, Tinker’s life was marked by love, laughter, and compassion. Her nurturing heart and joyful presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Tinker was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Pearl Blackmon; son, Lonnie Gene Jolly, Jr.; sisters, Billie Pell and Maxine Casey; and brother, Terry "Pete" Hampton.
Tinker is survived by her husband of 26 years, Brian Ray of Springtown, Texas; children, Tanner "Scooter" Ray, Curtis Loughry, Lonnie Gene Jolly, III, twins, Angelina Ray and Katrina Ray, Jaiden "Jay" Ray, Brian Ray, and Hunter Ray; she is also survived by her siblings, Shirley Green, Henry Poulter, D.D.
