Dannie Faye Anderson Woodard died on August 4, 2026, at the age of 100. She was born near Sweetwater, Texas on June 19, 1926, to D.R. Anderson and Eula Lantrip Anderson.

She graduated from Poolville High School at age 15 as Valedictorian and attended Weatherford College on South Main Street.

She married Herman Woodard in Corpus Christi, Texas on November 1, 1943. They lived most of their lives in Parker County. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and traveling to other states in their travel trailer. After years of collecting hammered aluminum, Dannie co-authored two books on the subject. She wrote a monthly newsletter, "The Aluminist", for other collectors across the United States. Additionally, she wrote four fictional books, and more recently, a children's book. Nature and the history of Parker County was of great interest to her and often inspired her writing.

While raising her family, she was an active leader in Girl Scouts and 4-H Clubs in Weatherford for many years, inspiring many young lives

Dannie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herman Woodard, her son, Kent Woodard, and grandson, Chad Coffey. She is survived by her four daughters, Sherri Coffey, Sue and Johnny Gray, Nita and Rickey Parsons, and Katrina and Paul Ford. She was the proud and loving Great GiGi to eight grandchildren Tina, Megan, Jeff, Kerry, Allison, Rann, Reid, and Rhett and 11 great grandchildren.
