Daniel Glenn Baker, 83, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away April 16, 2015, in a Fort Worth Hospital. Mr. Baker was born on November 29, 1931, in Crossett, Arkansas. He was a proud business owner, a Mason and member of Community Christian Church in Aledo, Texas. For recreation he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his grandchildren.
Daniel is survived by his daughters, Joy Stern and husband, Carl of North Carolina, Rhonda Thompson and husband, Jim of Bluefield, West Virginia, and Glenda Rickman and husband, Fred of Joshua, Texas; son, Brad Baker and his fiancée, Jayna McQueen of Weatherford, Texas; his sister, Dorothy Outlaw, who remained in his hometown of Crossett, Arkansas. Mr. Baker is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who he loved dearly.
Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Mae Baker; father, Clarence Elmer Baker and mother, Lillie Bell Baker; and his two sisters, Margaret Jobe and Evonne Sharpe.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral scheduled for Monday, April 27, 2015. at 10:00 a.m., at Aledo United Methodist Church, in Aledo, Texas, interment at Annetta cemetery following funeral service. Minister Jacob Walsh will officiate.
