Dale Edwin Hopwood, Sr.

 Dale Edwin Hopwood, Sr., 62, of Boyd, died Thursday, August 17, 2006 at his residence. Born April 8, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dale was a longtime resident of Boyd and a Truck Driver. 

 He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Hopwood; son, Brian Hopwood; and grandson, Benjamin Leggett. 

 He is survived by his wife, Donna Hopwood of Boyd; daughters, Debra Matthews of Boyd, Sheila Turnage of Weatherford, Joy Head of Burnet and Kim Grant of Keller; sons, Troy Hopwood of Quincy, Illinois, Tracey Hopwood of Virginia, and Dale Hopwood II of Amarillo; mother, Dorothy Palmer of Glen, Mississippi; sister, Nancy Brenneman of Tennessee; brother, Rick Stitzer of Tennessee; grandchildren, Misty, Chris, Charlie, Mechelle, Jennifer, Douglas, Larry, Jeremy, Eric, Dale III, Amanda, Brian, and Clinton; and 10 great grandchildren.

 Funeral service: 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 21, 2006, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Interment in Jaybird Cemetery in Parker County.
