Cynthia Diane Engels

  Cynthia Diane Engels, 66, of Weatherford, Texas, entered God’s kingdom on January 20th, 2022. The world welcomed Cindy on December 5th, 1955, a day the world became a little brighter. She lived a life filled with love and kindness. She was a volunteer teacher in children’s Sunday School for 20+ years, she supported the Weatherford Citizen Police Academy (CPA), Alumni Association (WCPAAA), Hudson Oaks CPA, Parker County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), the Citizen Police Academy Alumni of North Texas (CPAANT) and was a caregiver for her mom and dad. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be forever loved and dearly missed.

  Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Hardee and Yvonne “Blondie” Hardee; her son, Christopher Robert Carriker; and her brother-in-law, Daniel Johns. 

  She is survived by her husband, John Engels; daughter, Jennifer Batista; son-in-law, Mikee Batista; grandchildren, Asaiah, Aiden and Devyn; sister, Barbara Johns; nephew and nieces, Justin, Stephanie and Linsey; and daughter-in-law, Angela Westendorf. 

  Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. and service will be at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 29th, 2022, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N Elm Street, Weatherford.
