Claudie Wayne “C.W.” Jarrett, age 93, departed from this life to meet his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 25, 2026. Born on April 1, 1933, in Whitesboro, C.W. was the son of the late Ernest Jarrett and Thella (Rice) Jarrett.
C.W. dedicated many years of faithful service as a maintenance technician for the Fort Worth Independent School District. Beyond his profession, he found great joy in the simple blessings of life - especially fishing, woodworking, and most importantly, sharing his faith with others.
Known by many as a true “fisher of men,” C.W. devoted much of his life to ministry and service to the Lord. With devotion, he served as associate pastor at Western Hills Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas and later at Bedford Baptist Temple, in Bedford, Texas. In his retirement years, he remained active in his faith as a cherished member of First Baptist Dennis, in Dennis, Texas.
Those who knew C.W. will remember his gentle spirit, steadfast faith, and servant’s heart. Whether crafting something beautiful with his hands in his woodworking shop or offering encouragement through scripture and prayer, he lived a life centered on love and devotion to God and family.
C.W. was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Jane Jarrett, as well as his parents, Ernest and Thella Jarrett; brother, Leon Jarrett and sister, Essie Scott.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure his memory: his daughter, Jeanette Jimenez and husband Joseph of Salem, Arkansas; his daughter, Sharen Norton of Weatherford, Texas; three grandchildren, Brandy Hayes-Oldham and husband David, Shelly Osborne and husband Danny, and Megan Robertson and husband Dominic; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and dear friends whose lives were touched by his unwavering kindness.
An Inurnment Graveside Service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at the Johnson Cemetery, in Weatherford, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Texans on Mission organization or to Grace House Ministries.
Though his earthly journey has ended, the legacy of C.W.’s faith, wisdom, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
