Celia Hernandez

  Celia Hernandez, 75, of Weatherford, went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2019, surrounded by her family.

  A funeral service will be held Friday, December 20th, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, beginning at 2:00 p.m., followed by burial at East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

  Celia was born in Mexico to the late Jose and Marcelina Escobedo Uvalle, on April 16, 1944. She married the love of her life, Gabriel Hernandez, in April 1962. Together they had six children. Celia set a God-fearing example for her children as she was strong in her faith. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, singing, but most of all spending time with her family.

  Celia was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jose Hernandez; and sister, Emma Uvalle.

  Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Gabriel Hernandez; daughters, Linda Hernandez and Martha Castro; sons, Juan Hernandez, Gabriel Hernandez Jr., and Gilberto Hernandez; sister, Guadalupe Jimenez; brothers, Ramiro Uvalle, Jose Uvalle, and Homero Uvalle; eighteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
