Carolyn Marie Lake

  Carolyn Marie Lake, affectionately known as Nene or Nanny, passed away on April 20, 2024, at the age of 62 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born on October 3, 1961, in McKinney, Texas. Carolyn was the beloved mother and grandmother, the backbone of her family. In her free time, she enjoyed having family over to visit, knitting, sewing, and treasure hunting at garage sales on weekends. 

  She is survived by her loving husband, Levi Baez; her sons, Wesley Lake, Timothy Lake, David Burton; and her daughter, Sherry Baez; along with her many grandchildren who called her “Nene or Nanny”. 

  Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Fouts; father, Paul Horn; her sisters, Lydia Nattrass and Darla Brimhall; and her brother, Paul Horn, Jr. 

  The visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in a Galbreaith Pickard stateroom, at 913 N. Elm St., Weatherford, Texas, 76086.

  Carolyn's funeral service is at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 25, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, with burial to follow at East Greenwood Cemetery.

  Carolyn Marie Lake will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
