Carolyn Haney Davis

May 15, 1940 — November 2, 2018

Carolyn Haney Davis passed away on November 2, 2018, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, November 7th, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel beginning at 2:00 pm.
Carolyn has lived many years in the Weatherford area. After growing up in Springtown, she spent many of her young adult years there raising her family. She began a new chapter in her life when she met and married Johnny. Almost immediately they moved to Israel where for 13 years, he worked and she played. She played welcome wagon and tour guide to many people, but probably more than anything she always had a welcoming smile and usually a great meal to offer, many miles from home. Although she had many adventures and went to many exotic places throughout her life, nothing gave her more pleasure in the last part of her life than sitting at home with her friend Jimmy watching the Rangers, Mavericks, Stars, or any other sporting event she could find on. Carolyn will be remembered for many things; the twinkle in her blue eyes, the warmness of her smile, but her quality of always thinking and doing for others first will be what she will be remembered for the most.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny; son, Scot Brawley; parents; sister, Barbara McVoid; brother, Charles Haney; grandson, Andy Brawley; and a dear friend, Jimmy Hall.
Survivors include her son, Tracy Brawley (Ross Odell); daughter-in-law, Jill Brawley; grandsons, Chad and Phillip Brawley; granddaughter, Chrissie Brawley; great-grandsons, Beckham and Andy; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends that will love and think of her fondly forever.
