Carolyn (Henderson) Gildow

  Carolyn (Henderson) Gildow, 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.

  Born on August 21, 1944, to Vernon and Katherine (Berry) Henderson, Carolyn grew up in Weatherford, Texas, and graduated from Weatherford High School. She dedicated 30 years of service to Weatherford I.S.D. before retiring.

  Carolyn found joy in tending to her yard, reading, and cherishing the companionship of her beloved dog. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family. She will be remembered for her joyful spirit, kindness, and caring nature.

  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Fred Gildow.

  Carolyn is survived by her children: Michael and wife, Caren; Eric and wife, Terri; Tracy and husband, Brooks; and Kathy and husband, Trevor. She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Woody and wife, Karen and Ron and wife, Rosemary; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086.
