Carol Kaye McKeen, 77, departed peacefully from this life on Saturday, November 26, 2022. Kaye was born February 24, 1945, in Weatherford, Texas. Kaye believed volunteers help change the lives of those in their community. She gave of herself as a volunteer at the Manna Storehouse and was a member of Central Christian Church in Weatherford. As a Deaconess, she prepared and helped serve meals; she gave everything of herself and asked for nothing in return. Kaye also served as Treasurer for Women Grow. She was a talented artist and enjoyed painting.
Kaye is survived by her daughters, Charlotte McKeen, Charity McKeen Medlin and her husband, William; sister, Bettye Rains; and many nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
Kaye was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. McKeen, Jr.; mother, Della Faye (Mabery) Beavers; father, Joe Herold Beavers; brothers, Charles Beavers, Joe Beavers, and Don Grisham.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Central Christian Church, 1602 S. Main Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086.
The graveside service is to be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, April 21, 2023, at Oakland Cemetery, in Weatherford, Texas.
