Brenda Kaye Norvelle

  Brenda Kaye Norvelle, age 57, passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on April 7, 1968, in Weatherford, Texas, to Glen Lazrine and Beulah Fern Pope.

  Brenda was a bright and beautiful soul with a gift for making others laugh. Known for her playful sense of humor, she was always the first one to have to “pay up” to the family swear jar. She had a special way of turning everyday moments into cherished memories - whether it was serving up her amazing cabbage, watching Football, gathering her loved ones for board games and puzzles, or creating cozy family campouts in the living room.

  A lover of nature, Brenda found joy in caring for her plants, always fishing, and watching the animals that brought life to her home - squirrels, cats, and dogs alike. Her green thumb and love for the outdoors reflected her nurturing and fun spirit, which extended to her family and friends, but don’t even get her started on those Cowboys, she hates them! Redskins forever, F them Cowboys!

  Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Glen Lazrine; mother, Beulah Fern Pope; and sisters, Shelly Howell, Shirley Whitener, Billie Hunt, and Nancy Kitts.

  Brenda is survived by her devoted husband and love of her life, Thomas A. Norvelle of Weatherford, Texas; her son, Jacob DeVos and wife, Kayla; stepchildren, Curtis Greer, Cameron Norvelle, Roman Norvelle, Katarina Norvelle, and Blake Kloepping; five cherished grandchildren, Aubrey, Aiden, Asher, Nicona, and Ariana; and one precious great-granddaughter, Roselynn. She is also survived by her siblings, Alan Pope, Pat McCoury, and Jackie Bengfort, along with many other family members and friends who loved her dearly.

  To honor Brenda’s life, the family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086. No additional formal services are planned.

  Brenda will be deeply missed, but her laughter, love, and light will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
