  Bobby Ray Surginer, age 62, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025. He was born on February 25, 1963, in Atlanta, Texas, to Johnny and Addie (Alford) Surginer. Bobby served his country in the United States Army. Professionally, he dedicated many years of his life working as a program support specialist for the Dallas VA Medical Center.

  Bobby was known for his warm, welcoming nature; he never met a stranger and enjoyed sharing his talent for playing the guitar with friends and family. A vibrant spirit, Bobby had a passion for dancing, often showcasing his two-step skills and even teaching dance at one point.

  Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Ray Surginer, and his sister, Linda Loggins.

  Bobby is survived by his beloved wife, Dee Surginer of Boyd, Texas; mother, Addie Surginer; brothers, Carroll Surginer and wife, Cassie, and James Surginer and wife, Brooke; step-daughter, Shona Marcoux; five grandchildren, Taylor Fix and husband, Grant, Kayleigh Ellis and husband, Rustyn, Chayse Pappajohn, Makynzie Pappajohn, and Davin Marcoux; and three great-grandchildren, Ember Fix, Rowan Fix, and Ryker Ellis.

  As we honor the memory of Bobby Surginer, we celebrate a life filled with love, joy, and kindness. His presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A memorial service will be held by family and friends at a later time.
