Bobby Gene Rothel

  Bobby Gene Rothel, age 19, of Amarillo, died Monday, February 19, 2007. He was born July 11, 1987 in Cleburne, Texas. He was a loving son, brother and friend to all who knew him. He had a gift for drawing people to him and forming instant friendships. He enjoyed swimming, camping, target shooting and especially scuba diving. He became a Certified Advance Diver in July of 2006 in Possum Kingdom Lake near Mineral Wells, Texas. Bobby loved God and lived his life with Christian love.

  Survivors: father, Terry Rothel of Amarillo; mother, Sheryl Waits of Crowley; sisters, Stacy Rothel of Amarillo and Kayla Waits of Crowley; granddad, Bob Rothel of Weatherford; Papa, Ron Waits of Crowley; grandmother, Glenda Johnson of Crowley; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.

  Funeral service: 6:00 p.m., Saturday, February 24, 2007, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Visitation: 5:00 p.m., Saturday, prior to the service.
