Bobby D. Holmes

  Bobby D. Holmes, 79, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 28, 2010. Bob was born January 18, 1931, in Weatherford, to Leonard and Lota Holmes. He was a resident of Weatherford most of his life. Bob was an engineer who retired after 50 years of service to the Texas Department of Transportation. He supported St. Judes, The Autism Society, and The Salvation Army.
 
  Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Mac.
 
  He is survived by his wife, Jean Knox Holmes; son, Steven Baker and wife, Ronda; daughters, Marsha Williams and husband, Ed, Donna Holmes-Kilbourne and husband, Bruce, Toni Holmes and husband, Mike, Paulette Plumlee and husband, Howard, and Jayme Meier and husband, Eric; grandchildren, Clinton, Stacey, Cash, Byron, Sabra, Tara, Joshua, Jacob, Kyle, Paige, Nikki, and Zachary; and eleven great grandchildren.

  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Visitation is from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
