Bobby Joe Brickey

April 10, 1937 — March 4, 2025

Bobby Joe Brickey, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. He was born on April 10, 1937, in Alba, Wood County, Texas, to Carl Earl Brickey and Jessie Ann (Plumley) Brickey.

Bobby learned the craft of mounting bull horns from his father-in-law, eventually opening his own business. His work took him across the United States as he fulfilled orders, keeping him on the move. He was always active, never one to sit idle for long, and could often be found on his feet, focused on his work.

In his later years, Bobby took his grandson, Tanner Clark, into his home when he was just two years old. He raised Tanner with love and care, and as Bobby grew older, Tanner remained by his side, returning the care and affection Bobby had shown him.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and by his first wife, Marie Kincannon (1978); late wife, Nellie "Nell" Brickey (November 2015); and daughter, Tina Marie Brickey (2006).

Bobby is survived by his son, Joe Brickey and wife, Freda; son, Kenny Brickey; grandchildren, Tanner Clark, Chase Brickey and wife, Magellan, Chaley Sims and husband, Corey, Kayla Brickey and fiancé, Kenny "Jr" Henry, and Sarah Harney and husband, Shawn; great-grandchildren, Emy Harney, Noah Brickey, and another great-grandchild expected soon; and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his siblings, Tony Brickey, Pat "Esta" Graff, and Mac Brickey.

Bobby was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

At this time, no formal services are scheduled.
