Bobbie Mungle

Bobbie Mungle passed away on January 30, 2024, after a long and very happy life. She was 90 years old.

Bobbie was born in Weatherford, October 28, 1933. She graduated from Weatherford High School and immediately embarked on a career in banking. She worked in banks in Weatherford, New Orleans, and Lubbock, taking a break along the way to raise three boys. She was very proud to support her late husband, Les Mungle, in his career as a corporate insurance executive. They were married for 64 years. Together they crisscrossed the U.S. several times for work transfers. After Les retired in 1992 they returned to Weatherford. In retirement they traveled frequently and Bobbie was able to see the world. Bobbie was especially proud of her three sons, their families, and their many successes in their own lives.

Bobbie was an active and loyal member of First Methodist Church – Weatherford, originally joining in 1953. Bobbie volunteered in the church for most of the last 30 years. She and a small group of like minded ladies assisted the financial department and were entrusted with making the weekly bank deposits. These ladies became her special friends and frequent lunch partners.

Bobbie is survived by her three sons, Jerry, Gary, and Kriss Mungle, and their families. 

Plans for a memorial service are pending with First Methodist Church – Weatherford.
