Our hearts are broken as we share that Blake Barron, 35, passed away on March 20, 2026, in Aledo, Texas. Born December 27, 1990, in Fort Worth and raised in Aledo, Blake’s life made a meaningful and lasting impact on all who had the honor of knowing him.
Blake was many things: funny, complicated, deeply intuitive, and impossible to forget. He had a gift for storytelling, often stretching the truth just enough to make a moment unforgettable, and a sense of humor that could catch you off guard in the best way. He was known for his remarkable talent for impersonations and his ease with incredible dialects, bringing joy to those around him.
He had a natural way of drawing people in. Whether through a conversation, a joke, or simply his presence, he made people feel seen and heard. Beneath his sharp wit was a deeply sensitive soul. One he didn’t always show, but one that shaped how he connected with the world.
By trade, Blake was proud of achieving multiple certifications as a welder and possessed numerous skill sets in that industry - he took pride in working with his hands. He found purpose in creating, building things that were lasting, tangible, and real. That same spirit carried into the way he lived his life: grounded, expressive, and always in motion.
Outside of work, Blake felt most at home outdoors. He loved spending time with his family at the Gilbert Ranch, where days were often filled with hunting, fishing, and simply being together. Whether he was out in nature, staying active, or chasing his next adventure, Blake embraced life with an energy that was entirely his own.
He was especially proud to be an uncle to Shepherd and Isabelle, a role he carried with love and a quiet kind of pride.
Blake was preceded in death by his aunt, Paula Gilbert Watson, and his uncle, Bob Evans.
He is survived by his loving family: his mother, Gloria; his father, Greg (Lisa); his siblings, Brittany; Matthew and his wife, Alex; and John-Michael; his beloved nephew, Shepherd, and niece, Isabelle; his grandmother, JuanEtta Gilbert; his aunts and uncles, Jenny Evans; Valarie Gilbert; Renee Barron; Rachael and Michael McCann; Rick Watson; and Marti and Ron Smith; his cousins, Luke Watson; Brandon and Cindi Evans (their children, Shaye (Allie), Miley, and Remi-Grace); Jamison and Jennifer Evans (their son, Kason); Tara and Ryan McQueary (their daughter, Scarlett); Aubrie Wills; Shannon and Garrett Maddox (their son, Silas), Mandie and Luke McCann; Kayce Smith (her son, Roman); and Ally Smith; along with a wide circle of extended family and friends who loved him deeply.
Family, friends, and all who cherished Blake are invited to a visitation in his memory on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at North Side Baptist Church, 910 North Main Street, Weatherford, Texas. Interment will follow at a later date.
All who knew Blake are invited to attend and join his family in celebrating and honoring his life. In true Blake fashion, we hope you’ll come with stories to share, laughter to give, and memories that will keep his spirit alive.
Blake will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and often talked about likely through stories that grow just a little more legendary over time.
May the radiance and beauty of his life never be defined by his death.
