Billie Fyke Forbes

 Billie Fyke Forbes, 96, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away on October 15, 2026.

 Billie’s roots in Weatherford ran deep. Her father, Dr. Ed Fyke, opened the first hospital in Weatherford in the Colonel Bowie home. Her own working life began at the historic Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells, Texas. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Weatherford and served on the City of Weatherford’s Building and Standards Commission.

 For over 50 years, Billie shared a beautiful life with her husband, Ollie J. “Dick” Forbes. Together, they raised a family that grew to include grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Affectionately known as Nana, she will be remembered through the stories and memories her family carries forward.

 Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Forbes, and her sons, David Forbes and Keary Forbes.

 She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Gaynier; her granddaughters, Brandie Barriga and husband, Michael Barriga; daughter in law, Wendy Rohmann; her grandchildren, Graycee, Sarah, Ann Marie, Janette, Michael, and Matthew; her great-grandson, Alex Fierro Forbes; and other great-grandchildren and extended family.

 Visitation will be held on November 3, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, Texas. The funeral service will be held at the chapel on November 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
