Betty McKinley Stricklin, age 85, Weatherford, died early Tuesday morning, October 11, 2011. She was born November 7, 1925 in Hooper, Colorado. Betty was a homemaker and she loved cooking, sewing and her cats. She enjoyed watching birds at the bird feeder and she was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
Survivors: daughter, Elizabeth Sue Lehnerz of Alamosa, Colorado; sons, Bob McKinley and wife, Lianna of Mosca, Colorado, James McKinley of Peaster and Justin McKinley and wife, Donna of Peaster; sister, Marietta Smith of Montrose, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Tommy Harrod, Robert McKinley, Jr., Ronnye Gossard, Constance McKinley, Jacob McKinley, Trace McKinley and Joseph McKinley; ten great grandchildren, R.J., Ryan, Rekissa, Caroline, Victoria, Jacqlyn, Brooke, Jenna, Robyn, and James; and one great great grandchild, Kale.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 14, 2011, at the Adell Community Fellowship. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 18, 2011, in Rogers Family Mortuary, in Alamosa, Colorado. Interment will follow in Alamosa Cemetery.
